Tip: Don't tilt the pencil inward or outward, as this will skew the measurements.

 

2. Mark Length and Width

Using your ruler, draw a straight line touching the outermost points of your sketch:

• Length: From the tip of your longest toe to the very back of your heel.

• Width: Across the widest part of your forefoot (the "ball" of your foot).

 

3. Measure and Compare

Measure these lines in centimeters or inches. Repeat the process for your other foot, as most people have one foot slightly larger than the other.

 

4. Consult a Size Chart

Use your largest foot’s measurements to find your size on a brand-specific size chart.

• For Length: Match your measurement to the corresponding US, UK, or EU size.

• For Width: If the brand offers "Wide" or "Narrow" options, use your width measurement to determine if you need more room.

Quick Pro-Tip: Always leave about a half-inch (1.2 cm) of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to allow for natural movement while walking.
